Dogface

I drew this for my brother, Nate.
today he had to put down his dog, Aki also known as Dogface.
She was about 10 years old turning 11.

She was ate up with heartworms. She was so old that the treatment would kill her. and the vet said she'd be dead in a feel days. so she was put down to help ease her pain.

She wasn't my dog but she was close to it.
I remember when Nate brought her home. She was passed out from him playing with her all day. She had huge paws and a big old bobble head.
Then just a week later while camping Nate called mom in a panic because his dog broke her leg.

I would help him babysit her and do therapy on her leg once the stint was out. (though it never healed properly so her leg was stiff)
She loved swimming and could run faster then me riding on a bike.
And she was a very sweet and good dog.
Everyone loved her and I think we all considered her a family dog in some way.

But most of all she was a daddy's girl.

We don't have many pictures of her. so I wanted to draw this for Nate.
I tried my best to draw that expressive face of her's. I did decent but it doesn't do her justice.

Rest in peace Aki.
I know you're chewing on sticks and eating turtles up in doggie heaven
