Personality:
Teddy is a very slow guy, things go over his head easily such a sarcastic jokes and anything witty and clever. Because of this he's easily confused but even then he seems to just roll with it. Being a natural born pushover you can easily talk him into doing your job for him (People at his old job did after all) He doesn't care. Actually he acts like he doesn't care about much. Call him fat? Okay. Yell in his face? whatever floats your boat. So long as you aren't hurting others he's pretty cool.
He just loves to kick back and enjoy things at his own pace, loving the little things in life.
The things he seems to enjoy most (besides food, om nom nom) is affection and making people laugh, even if it's at his own expense. When's he's not eating, vegetating, or making people laugh, he's finding something to take care of and is generally a nurturing type. He loves making people and animals feel better.

History:

Theodore grew up in a large city area.
Being an only child he was always a bit spoiled.
His mother loving to give him food and whatever he wanted, this was to make up for the fact she was not always well and couldn't play with him.
He never noticed this when he was little...At least never noticed how bad off his mother was.

His father, being a military man, had trouble staying around to care for her. So often Teddy's Aunt was over, or Grandmother(from his mother's side) was taking caring of his mother.
Because his mother required a lot of attention, Teddy was often left alone.
More times then not he was sent to his grandparents(on his father's side) to be watched over.
They lived just out of the city on a very small farm. with a few livestock and some crops.
Teddy's favorite part was the animals. He'd pretend to be doctor and care for them, much like his family did for his mother.
Because he grew up mainly on the ranch he grew a love for the more open spaces and lifestyle. He even had his own room and would often just stay there for weeks or months.
Though farming had been fun, he had a natural talent with the animals. And even raised a few Torchic himself while there.
The animals were his friends to him or even more so, like siblings or family he could actually depend on.

However as he grew older he was required more around the house.
So time on the ranch grew more slim for him. Sure he'd sneak out every so often, but he often missed the Miltank, Torchics, and the other ranch pokemon.

When his Aunt suddenly had to move, he time on the ranch was no more. He was constantly needed at home when he wasn't at school.
It was around this time he also started fostering sick animals from rescues and finding them new homes. Juggling both them and his mother.

After have a small scare from his mother fainting, Teddy decided then and there to become a nurse. this way he could take care of his mother better and know how to help her. It was a lot of work going to school, a job and taking care of her. Especially from one who doesn't normally enjoy working.
His normal three foster animals at a time was cut down to one. Or some months none at all.

By the time he got his job stress was catching up to him. He felt sick and weary and for once in his life was actually losing some weight.
At this point his father finally retired from the military, giving Theodore the much needed rest he deserved.
Everything finally seemed right in his life; except he still felt sick. Turns out he had about as good a health record as his mother. His immune system was shot and being in a hospital was getting him sick, not the stress.(though it did help)

His father soon brought up Ranching. It was something his own father had done, and Teddy had loved the time he spent around his ranch. The plus side also was Teddy was a nurturing man and would get to raise many baby animals and take care of them.
But not have to worry about being around sick people. Not only that but being out of the city would probably do him wonders as well.


He loved the idea, having always being great with animals. His father even gave him money to start on his way.
His first thought was to take over his grandfather's ranch but much to his chagrin a lot of the city had migrated around the area. Meaning he'd never be able to expand and get as many animals as he so wanted.
On top of the fact he was just tired of city life.
He hated big crowds and tight places (being such a big man and all) and missed the open areas the small ranch used to offer.
It was then he heard about a patch of islands that didn't have such a problem.
And decided if he wanted a completely new restart on life, he needed to also take chances and go someplace new.

Relationship:

Teddy has never been in a relationship before. Not in high school and not in college.
He has a friend he really cares for and wishes she'd notice him. But he has long ago accepted he's been friend zoned and just plays the role of big brother.
This is a roll he seems to fall in with a lot of girls, so he often doesn't think of dating much.
As for preferences he seems to look more at females when it comes to attraction and would more then likely look towards the girls if he ever wanted to attempt any sort of relationship on his own.
However he would date a male too, if he was really really attached. But it's highly unlikely.

*It's really hard to make him mad or get him to yell.
*He'll go along with just about anything
*He never seriously sings, more so he just sings about stupid things to make people laugh as he's not amazing
*Loaf's full name is Meatloaf. Because Teddy was planning on Meatloaf for supper that night.
